India rubbishes Musk’s ‘oligarchs’ charge, says satellite rules are ‘non-discriminatory’

The Ministry of Communications has rejected claims that India is unfairly delaying or blocking Starlink’s plans to launch satellite internet services in the country. The ministry said India’s regulatory framework for satellite communication is fair and applies equally to all companies.

The clarification came after SpaceX CEO Elon Musk alleged that Starlink was being blocked by “certain oligarchs” who wanted to protect their monopoly in India.
