The ministry of electronics and information technology (MeitY) has approved 31 more proposals under the Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS), with a projected investment of Rs 6,844 crore.

Scheme totals now stand at 106 projects and Rs 69,548 cr

With this round, the overall number of ECMS approvals rises to 106, with cumulative approved investment of Rs 69,548 crore — up from the Rs 59,350 crore originally envisaged under the scheme. These 106 projects are expected to generate Rs 534,101 crore in projected production, 74,628 direct jobs and around 2.5 lakh indirect jobs, spanning 30 products across 15 states. This builds on an earlier round of 75 approved applications involving Rs 61,671 crore in investment.
