US’ Belden to manufacture RUCKUS ethernet switches in India

NEW DELHI: American telecom gear vendor Belden said on Thursday it would begin manufacturing RUCKUS Networks’ ICX Ethernet switches in Pune, India, for customers across the country.

“This operational milestone marks an important first step in how Belden and RUCKUS Networks are combining to deliver tangible business outcomes following the acquisition, while expanding RUCKUS Networks’ access to new customer and market opportunities,” the NASDAQ-listed vendor said in a statement.

“By bringing RUCKUS Networks into Belden’s local manufacturing footprint, we are building on our long-standing presence in India to better serve customers and support the country’s continued growth as a global hub for innovation and production,” said Ashish Chand, president and CEO, Belden.
