Qualcomm, Apple extend chip licensing agreement
NEW DELHI: Qualcomm announced on Thursday that it has extended its chip licensing agreement with Apple, with the extension coming into effect on April 1 next year.
“We are pleased to extend the Apple license agreement,” said John Han, executive vice president and general manager of Qualcomm Technology Licensing (QTL), in a statement.
The long-standing commercial relationship between the two technology companies was established following a landmark 2019 settlement that ended a two-year global legal dispute concerning wireless-patent royalties and modem-chip supply.
