Cadence bullish on AI agents to improve chip design workflows, engages with tier-1 companies: Executive

NEW DELHI: A top executive at Cadence Design Systems said it is bullish about its AI agents reducing hallucinations and improving determinism in chip design workflows, compared to non-domain-specific tools and solutions, adding that the US major is engaging with tier-1 semiconductor majors.

“Our agents work on reducing hallucinations by design because we understand the chip design flows better. We have deeper hooks into the tools beyond just the outputs, which allows us to be more thorough in the responses that come out,” Kripa Venkatachalam, vice president (global customer success team), Cadence, told ETElectronicsWorld in an interview.
