BRICS 2026: PM Modi flags tech, critical minerals weaponisation

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the use of technology and critical minerals to gain an advantage would act as a drag on global advancement, underlining that a rising cooperative tide would lift all boats.

“The weaponisation of technology and critical minerals can hinder our shared progress. Therefore, we have emphasised inclusivity in the adoption of technology,” Modi said at the BRICS session on Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability in New Delhi on Sunday.
