India is world’s best location to set up data centres, $200 billion opportunity: Piyush Goyal
New Delhi: India is the world’s best location to set up data centres and a $200 billion opportunity is waiting to be unlocked, commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal said Tuesday after chairing a roundtable on Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) to scale India’s data centre ecosystem.
“India is the world’s best location to set up data centres..,nothing less than $200 billion can be seen coming into the data centre industry,” he said.
The minister said that the data centres, semiconductor industries, artificial intelligence, and the increased manufacturing base are all elements that will power India’s growth in the years to come and take it to greater heights and help the country achieve a $30 trillion economy by 2047.
