    US plans to increase H-1B visa fee to $103,265, says notice posted in Federal Register

    US Homeland Security Department plans to increase H-1B visa fee to $103,265, according to a notice posted in the Federal Register on Monday.

    A federal judge had in July this year struck down a $100,000 fee that US President Donald Trump imposed on new H-1B visas for highly skilled foreign workers, concluding that it constituted an unlawful tax that Congress never authorised.
