Guild slams ‘dimaagi’ slur as BJP targets Rajdeep Sardesai in social media video

The Editors Guild of India on Monday condemned a video posted by the BJP on social media suggesting that India Today journalist Rajdeep Sardesai was a “dimaagi Naxal”.

Others featured in the video, shared on X on August 20 by BJP Goa, are Lok Sabha Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi, AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal, CJP leaders Abhijeet Dipke, Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, actor Prakash Raj, music director Vishal Dadlani and YouTuber Dhruv Rathee. The video is overlaid with dramatic music with the lyrics: “The nation wants to know who is a dimaagi Naxal”.
