Google has officially set a deadline for the retirement of Google Assistant on mobile devices and wearables. The tech giant has reportedly said that Google Assistant will be discontinued starting September 4, making Gemini the primary voice and AI assistant across the Android ecosystem. As per a report by 9to5google, the company has sent an email to users, announcing that Gemini has officially taken over the default assistant experience on Android. Once the transition takes effect, users will no longer have the option to go back to Google Assistant on their devices.
