Netflix’s chief product and technology officer Elizabeth Stone expects employees across the company to develop what she calls an “aspiration for AI fluency”. This expectation comes as artificial intelligence (AI) has become a larger part of how work is done at the US-based streaming giant. According to Stone, the expectation extends to employees at every level, including senior executives.

During a recent episode of “Lenny’s Podcast”, Stone explained the company’s approach, saying, “That’s the non-negotiable for all roles, and that’s true at the senior-most levels of Netflix, where we talk about we too need to have deep fluency in AI, even if we’re not writing code as part of our day jobs.”
