    India launches UPI in Greece; Piyush Goyal calls it milestone in country’s digital payments expansion

    Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Tuesday announced the launch of the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) in Greece, describing it as another milestone in the global expansion of India’s digital payments ecosystem.

    This comes weeks after India launched UPI at Galeries Lafayette, a famous department store in Nice, France.

    In 2024, UPI was launched at the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
