Made in India smartphone shipments rise 8% on-year in 2025, Bhagwati breaks into top five: Counterpoint

NEW DELHI: The shipments of ‘made-in-India’ smartphones grew by 8% year-on-year in 2025, driven by a surge in exports and domestic sales, according to the latest report released by Counterpoint Research on Thursday.

In 2025, exports of made-in-India smartphones grew by 28% year-on-year, whereas domestic sell-in increased 1% year-on-year, the research firm said, adding that exports accounted for approximately one-third of all smartphones manufactured in India.
