Vibhor Jain appointed CEO and MD of ONDC

Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), the government-backed open ecommerce network that allows buyers and sellers to connect through multiple apps, has promoted Vibhor Jain as its managing director and chief executive officer effective April 7.

Jain has been ONDC’s acting CEO since former chief executive Thampy Koshy quit in April last year.

“Going forward, we are concentrating on what open, interoperable infrastructure can uniquely enable—things that no single platform has the incentive or the architecture to do,” Jain told ET when asked what his plans for the network are.
