UPI processed 218.6 billion transactions worth Rs 284.7 lakh crore in FY26

India’s Unified Payments Interface (UPI) processed 218.6 billion transactions in the fiscal year ending March 2026, with a cumulative value of Rs 284.7 lakh crore, according to data from the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI).

Transaction volumes remained consistently elevated, crossing the 20-billion mark in several months, even as growth showed signs of tempering in the latter part of the year.
