Skipper targets global tower top spot by 2030 on renewable energy, data centre demand

City-based Skipper said it is on course to become the world’s largest manufacturer of transmission towers and poles by 2030, betting on strong demand for its offerings from the renewable energy sector and data centres.

The company, with its manufacturing base spread across Bengal, is already the largest producer outside China. It expects orders to flow from India as well as overseas markets, including developed nations, as countries look to diversify their sourcing base outside of China.
