Telecom Ministry seeks to drive sectoral growth, revive BSNL: Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani

NEW DELHI: The Ministry of Communications is actively evaluating measures to drive growth in the telecom sector, including reviving Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) to facilitate competition, said a top official on Wednesday.

“Currently, our ministry is looking at what we can do to take what we have to the next level. We have mobile connectivity, but how can we proliferate broadband connectivity to every nook and corner of this country?” Minister of State for Communications Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani said.
