Nvidia partners with former OpenAI chief scientist Ilya Sutskever’s AI startup: What the CEOs said
Nvidia has entered into a major long-term strategic partnership with Safe Superintelligence Inc. (SSI), the high-profile AI research startup co-founded by former OpenAI chief scientist Ilya Sutskever. As part of the agreement, Nvidia has made a ‘substantial’ direct investment in SSI and will grant the startup early access to its next-generation Vera Rubin computing platform.
According to an announcement made by the US-based chipmaker, the deal aims to boost SSI’s processing power by an order of magnitude as it pursues breakthroughs in artificial intelligence (AI).
