Netflix now needs users to link email addresses to individual profiles on shared accounts: Here’s what’s changing

Netflix recently started rolling out a sign-in update that requires users to link a unique email address to individual profiles on shared accounts. This will allow each profile owner to sign in independently and manage certain personal settings without relying on the primary account holder. The company confirmed that the permanent change began rolling out earlier this month and applies to most profiles associated with a Netflix subscription, except those designated as children’s profiles. Once an email address is linked, profile owners can receive their own sign-in verification codes, making it easier to access Netflix on new devices and manage login credentials independently.
