Surging component costs test Apple’s ability to maintain iPad, Mac prices: Analysts
NEW DELHI: An artificial intelligence (AI)-linked exploding demand for components has strained Apple’s capabilities to shield customers from increasing prices, said analysts, a day after the company sharply increased the prices of iPad, MacBook, Apple TV, and HomePod in markets like the US and India.
However, the company has not raised prices of its mainstay iPhone products in India or globally. Analysts, though, added that Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 series may be pricier than its predecessor, the iPhone 17 series that underpinned its volumes in India during Q1 2026.
