Microsoft has confirmed that it’s working on changes to Windows 11 that could allow users to customise the operating system’s right-click context menu. According to an executive of the software giant, the planned update is expected to simplify the menu and give users greater control over the options that appear when they right-click on files and folders.

Responding to a user complaint about the length and complexity of Windows 11’s context menu on microblogging site X (formerly Twitter), Marcus Ash, VP of Design and Research for Windows and Devices, said that the company is “working on making context menus faster, simpler by default, configurable to what you use most. More will be shared on our approach soon.”
