Tejas Networks supplies 17,000 IP MPLS routers under BharatNet Phase 3
NEW DELHI: Homegrown telecom gear maker Tejas Networks has supplied 17,000 IP/MPLS routers for the Centre’s BharatNet Phase 3 programme.
“Tejas’s industry-leading TJ1400 routers are being deployed in 9 states and 5 union territories across India by its PIA (Project Implementation Agency) partners and are carrying live traffic at multiple locations,” Tejas said in a regulatory filing on Monday.
The vendor said it will, in total, supply nearly 60,000 TJ1400 routers for BharatNet Phase III, which will be deployed in more than 55,000 Gram Panchayats (GPs) and 2,000 Blocks in the country.
