India dents Xiaomi’s global smartphone shipments in 2025
NEW DELHI: Chinese Xiaomi on Tuesday reported a 2% annual decline in its global smartphone shipments at 165.2 million units for the year ended December 31, 2025, which it primarily attributed to a volume slide in India.
“Our smartphone shipments decreased by 2.0% from 168.5 million units for the year ended December 31, 2024 to 165.2 million units for the year ended December 31, 2025, primarily due to the decreased shipments in India,” Xiaomi said in its earnings statement, adding that increased shipments in China Mainland, Latin America, and Africa were able to partially offset the decreased shipments in India.
