NEW DELHI: India has the potential to shape the trajectory of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, including its governance and standards, said a senior executive of GSMA on Tuesday.
“Through infrastructure, Aadhaar, UPI, the broader DPI ecosystem, and now with India turning its attention towards AI, the country has an opportunity not only to adapt the technology, but to help shape its governance, its standards, and its trajectory,” Jeanette Whyte, head of public policy (APAC) at GSMA, said on the second-day of the ongoing India AI Impact Summit 2026.
