Instagram could soon launch a new artificial intelligence (AI) feature that lets users swap their faces with someone else in photos and videos. If introduced, this tool may become one of the platform’s biggest updates in recent years, especially as AI-powered content creation continues to grow rapidly.

The feature was reported by tipster Alessandro Paluzzi, who goes by the handle @alex193a on X (formerly Twitter), along with screenshots showing how some part of it could work in future. This also suggested that the feature is currently being tested internally. Though Instagram has not officially confirmed a release date, early leaks indicate that the company is seriously exploring the idea.
