Union Budget 2026-27: Centre proposes ₹73,990-crore outlay for telecom, BSNL to get ₹28,473-crore
NEW DELHI: The Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government has proposed to increase the outlay for the telecommunication sector to ₹73,990 crore, following a rise in capital infusion for the state-run telecom carrier Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL).
“We have seen a very healthy increase in allocation from RE (revised estimate) of last year, ₹53,000 crore on telecom. We have grown to ₹73,000 crore. That’s almost 40 per cent,” Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia told PTI.
