Elon Musk’s Starlink may have to seek fresh IN-SPACe nod for Direct-to-Device services in India

New Delhi: Elon Musk-owned Starlink will have to seek fresh approval from IN-SPACe for offering its new-edge technologies including direct-to-device (D2D) connectivity in India in addition to its vanilla broadband from space services.

India’s space regulator had earlier rejected Starlink’s original application for Gen 2 constellation, which would have allowed the company to roll its entire gamut of offerings.
