OpenAI Sam Altman plans India visit, may join Sundar Pichai, Alexandr Wang, Jensen Huang, Demis Hassabis, Cristiano Amon and other tech leaders for India AI summit

ChatGPT-maker OpenAI’s CEO Sam Altman is reportedly planning a high-profile visit to New Delhi this February. The trip will be Altman’s first in nearly a year and it coincides with the India AI Impact Summit 2026, an event scheduled for February 16-20 in the National Captial that will witness the participation from the biggest world tech and AI leaders, including Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Google DeepMind chief Demis Hassabis, Meta’s chief AI officer Alexandr Wang and more.

According to a report by TechCrunch, Altman is not yet listed as an official speaker on the summit’s public roster but the company is said to be organising exclusive, closed-door meetings on the sidelines.
