Google launches Google Pay-Axis Bank co-branded credit card with UPI link support

Google Pay launched “FLEX” – a fully digital, UPI-powered co-branded credit card in partnership with Axis Bank. Built on the RuPay network, the Google Pay Flex Axis Bank Credit Card allows users to connect the convenience of traditional credit and UPI. By linking the card to their UPI accounts within the Google Pay app, customers can make credit-powered payments to merchants by simply scanning a QR code.

The FLEX card offers instant cashbacks or rewards, contrary to a practice by most banks who credit rewards at the end of a monthly billing cycle. Moreover, eligible users can apply for and receive their virtual card within minutes directly inside the app, the company said.
