Netflix CEOs send letter to company employees, say: When this deal closes, we will be …
Netflix is pushing through to seal a deal over Warner Bros Discovery’s assets. According to a report by the news agency Reuters, the co-CEOs of the US streaming giant, Greg Peters and Ted Sarandos, have written to staff to reaffirm that commitment. In the letter (as seen by Reuters), the chief executives have sought to reassure employees that the business remains committed to continuing Warner Bros’ “important part of their business and legacy” of releasing movies in theatres once the deal closes. The letter came after Netflix announced a $72 billion equity deal to acquire Warner Bros’ film, TV, and streaming assets, which was subsequently complicated by a hostile $108.4 billion enterprise bid for the whole company from Paramount Skydance.
