OpenAI’s ChatGPT experienced a major outage on Tuesday, marking the second consecutive day of service disruptions for the popular AI chatbot. More than 12,580 users reported issues with the platform, according to DownDetector, a service that tracks outages based on user reports.

During the outage, OpenAI acknowledged it was “experiencing issues,” including increased error rates on ChatGPT. The company later attributed the disruption to “a routing misconfiguration” and confirmed later that the problem had been resolved, with services returning to normal.
