India seeks ITU Council re-election for term 2027-30: Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani

NEW DELHI: Minister of State for Communications Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani said that India is seeking re-election to the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Council for the term 2027-30.

India will continue to amplify the priorities of developing nations, champion practical solutions such as technology transfer and capacity-building, and foster consensus across regions, Pemmasani said on Tuesday at the ITU-World Telecommunication Development Conference 2025 (WTDC-25), being organised by the government of Baku, from November 17 to November 25.
