Resolution of Vodafone Idea’s AGR dues to accelerate debt raise, network expansion: Analysts

NEW DELHI: A resolution of Vodafone Idea’s (Vi) adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues could potentially accelerate its debt-raising efforts and enable India’s third-largest telecom operator to expand its network coverage and capacity, and attain competitive market share vis-a-vis rivals Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel, according to analysts.

Abhijit Kishore, CEO, Vi, said at the company’s second quarter (Q2FY26) post-earnings call on Tuesday that the telco is working very closely with the government and expects to come up with the “best and long-term” solution for its AGR dues.
