Microsoft brings Windows engineering back together under Pavan Davuluri after six years; Davuluri Says: “This change…”
Microsoft is consolidating its Windows engineering divisions under a single organisation for the first time since 2018, as the company pushes toward creating what it calls an “agentic OS” powered by artificial intelligence.
Windows chief Pavan Davuluri, recently promoted to president of Windows and devices, announced the restructuring in an internal memo obtained by The Verge. The reorganisation brings together teams working on Windows client and server, along with divisions handling Core OS, Data Intelligence and Fundamentals, Security, and Engineering Systems—all now reporting directly to Davuluri.
