Nokia re-enters UK market, wins eight-year 5G RAN, core supply deal from VodafoneThree

NEW DELHI: Nokia has won an eight-year deal with VodafoneThree to supply 5G radio access network (RAN) and core network gear, marking the Finnish telecom gear maker’s re-entry into the UK market.

“This strategic win represents Nokia’s re-entry as a RAN supplier in the UK market for both Vodafone and Three’s combined network operations following their recent merger,” Nokia said in a joint statement Monday.
