Ericsson wins $1.33 bn deal from VodafoneThree to supply 5G equipment

NEW DELHI: Swedish telecom gear maker Ericsson has won an eight-year deal worth 12.5 billion Swedish crowns (~$1.33 billion) to deploy 5G standalone (SA) core, radio access network (RAN), and broadband equipment.

“We are proud to partner with VodafoneThree as their primary vendor to power them with the most advanced programmable network products, software, and solutions in the world,” said Börje Ekholm, president and CEO, Ericsson, in a joint statement on Monday.
