US President Donald Trump last week announced his decision to increase the fees for H-1B visa. As per the revised regulation the fees for H-1B visa application has been increased from $10,000 to $1,00,000. This latest development created a situation of panic and chaos in the tech industry as many tech giants such as Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Meta and others asked their professionals with H-1B visa to return to US the earliest. With this latest development, the debate around H-1B program has also reignited. Introduced in 1990, the H-1B visa program has helped in shaping the career to lot of influential tech leaders including, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Google CEO Sundar Pichai and many others.
