OpenAI has reportedly signed a deal with Apple’s device assembler, Luxshare, to manufacture a new consumer device. The device is still in the prototype phase and is described as a pocket-sized gadget designed to be context-aware and to work closely with OpenAI’s AI models, news agency Reuters cited a report by The Information.
The company’s partnership with Luxshare, a major assembler of Apple’s iPhones and AirPods, would provide the large-scale manufacturing capabilities needed for the project.
