DriveU cofounder Ashok Shastry steps down after decade of service

Ashok Shastry, cofounder and board member of on-demand driver aggregator DriveU, stepped down from day-to-day operations of the company at the end of July. He continues to serve as a member of the board of directors.

“This decision was not an easy one—DriveU has been the heart of my professional life for the past 10 years—but it is purely a personal one. My stepping away is independent of the company’s performance and strategic direction, both of which remain strong and on a positive trajectory,” Shastry wrote in a LinkedIn post.
