Use artificial intelligence as your assistant, not boss, corporate social responsibility executives tell teachers

Bengaluru: Corporate social responsibility (CSR) professionals working in the state’s education sector have called upon govt school teachers to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into their teaching methodologies to improve quality of education. This appeal was made during a panel discussion at Tech for a Better Tomorrow conclave, held at the International Institute of Information Technology-Bangalore.

Despite substantial CSR funding directed towards educational initiatives, adoption of technology in classrooms in Karnataka remains limited, experts said. Abhishek Ranjan, head (environmental, social and governance) at the city-based IT firm Brillio, emphasised AI’s capacity to significantly enhance teaching and student engagement.
