India’s expanding digital ecosystem has made cyber security a top priority. Recognizing the urgency to protect critical systems and infrastructure, the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), has released the Comprehensive Cyber Security Audit Policy Guidelines. These guidelines aim to standardize how cyber audits are conducted across government entities and other sensitive digital environments. By laying down a consistent, structured framework for audits, the policy promotes resilience, accountability and trust in India’s digital services and e-governance platforms.
