TCS Layoffs

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the IT giant employing over 613,000 people globally, has announced significant job cuts that will affect 2 per cent of its total workforce – approximately 12,250 employees. The layoffs, spread over the course of the year, will primarily target middle and senior management roles.
In its official statement, TCS described the move as part of its journey toward becoming a “Future-Ready” organisation. The company outlined a range of strategic initiatives, including investments in emerging technologies, entry into new markets, large-scale deployment of AI for both client and internal use, strengthening partnerships, building next-generation infrastructure and realigning its workforce model.
