Amphenol to buy Trexon in $1 bn deal to boost defense business

NEW DELHI: US-based electronics gear maker Amphenol is buying cable assembly firm Trexon for $1 billion in cash, to capture business opportunities in the defense market amid a rise in military spending.
The Boston, Massachusetts-headquartered Trexon manufactures high-reliability interconnect and cable assemblies for industries ranging from military and defense to medical and quantum computing.
