No proposal to impose transaction charges on UPI: Finance Ministry

The Ministry of Finance on Monday reiterated that there was no proposal to impose transaction charges on Unified Payments Interface (UPI) transactions.

The Minister of State in the Ministry of Finance, Pankaj Chaudhary, informed the Lok Sabha that there was no such proposal under consideration, thus reaffirming the government’s commitment to promoting digital payments across India.
