The anonymous poster, currently in the U.S. on an H-1B visa, said they’ve spent the last 10 years in a repetitive cycle of visa renewals, PERM resets, and dashed hopes as the priority dates for Indian applicants moved slowly—or even backward. “The stress builds up,” they wrote. “I avoided changing jobs because I didn’t want to mess up my application. Skipped trips home because stamping felt risky. It’s exhausting feeling temporary for this long.”
