Vi Woes & Govt Gamble

 So far, the govt has swapped Rs 53,183 cr of its dues for 49 pc equity
 In 1st swap of Rs 16,133 cr, it got 33.44 pc equity; but in the 2nd swap of Rs 36,950 cr, it could reach just 49 pc, just 15.56 pc more
 In conversion at higher rates than the trading price at BSE, the govt lost Rs 15,539 cr in these two deals. It also lost Rs 3,885 cr interest so far in the 1st swap
 Equity count was at 3,211 cr before the 1st swap, which has now crossed 10,834 cr
