The European Commission (EC) has issued its preliminary findings on Google and Apple’s compliance with the Digital Markets Act (DMA), raising concerns over significant shortcomings. According to the assessment, Google has failed to meet its obligations in two services for which it has been designated a “gatekeeper”, while Apple has yet to fully align with certain interoperability requirements mandated by the DMA.
