SMS Traceability & Fraud Detection

Trai lauding Access Providers (APs) implementing its directives on SMS traceability and fraud detection, is not validated by facts and ground realities. Trai did not carry out any proper verification on its own, and neither did it call independent experts to verify APs’ claims. The real status of its directives vide dated 16.2.2023, 12.5.2023, and 20.8.2024, can be seen from the SMS messages reproduced below that passed through the so called stringent measures implemented by the APs.
