New data rules look to spur innovation & guard privacy: Ashwini Vaishnaw

The rules framed under the data law are not meant to introduce data localisation through the backdoor but are to ensure that mandates from different arms of the government are not in contravention with each other, minister for electronics and information technology Ashwini Vaishnaw said.
