Deepa Jatkar named India head of WPP’s OpenDoor, Amazon’s media unit

Global advertising giant WPP has named Deepa Jatkar as the India lead for OpenDoor, its specialised unit dedicated to handling Amazon’s media planning and buying operations. This appointment marks a strategic move to bolster WPP’s capabilities in India, a critical market for Amazon.

According to the company, Jatkar joined Wavemaker India in 2023 as chief growth officer, and brings over two decades of experience in media and consumer technology.
